Meet Nohelani Church

Hi! I am Nohelani (No-hay-law-knee) Church. I just got married in May 2013, so I am still adjusting to my new last name. I grew up in Maui, Hawaii and moved to Southern California in elementary school. I have always lived by the beach and love anything that has to do with the water! So naturally when it came time to go to college, I decided to attend University of California, Santa Barbara for my Bachelor’s Degree (located right on the ocean!). After college I worked as a chemist for a private lab and decided I really wanted to be in the medical field. I quit my career as a chemist and became an EMT working with 2 local Southern California Fire Departments. As my love for medicine grew, I decided it was time to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. I attended Touro University in Nevada where I graduated with Phi Alpha Honors. I have been living in Colorado for almost 2 years now and really miss the beach, but I am getting accustomed to white-water rafting!

I thoroughly enjoy being a PA and being a part of Castle Pines Urgent Care and Family Practice. I love being able to meet, talk and help people with whatever is concerning them. To me it is very important to build a relationship with my patients founded on trust and open communication. I like to listen to my patients and make sure they feel they are being heard and together we can make decisions in regards to your healthcare.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family. I am fortunate that my two older sisters live here in Castle Rock and I get to spend so much time with my nieces and nephew. My husband and I like to attend sporting events whenever we can and we spend a lot of time at the gym, working out and trying to stay fit. I love to help those in getting active and eating right, I once struggled myself but now feel that I have a good grasp on living a balanced life.
