Dr. Wilner

Lawrance Wilner, DO

Hi! I’m Doctor Lawrence Wilner. I grew up as a beach boy in San Diego and then moved to Texas to go to school, graduating from Austin College with a BA in biology. I attended medical school at Texas College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, where I graduated. I returned to California for my Internship near Los Angeles and was chief Intern. I did my residency here at Presbyterian St Luke’s, which is regarded as one of the best Family Practice residencies in the country.

I have been practicing in the Denver area since then and have worked in Family Practice and Urgent Care for 20 years. I have also spent a great deal of time manning Emergency Rooms across the Front Range.

I was fortunate to provide health care to one of the professional sports teams here in town, and have been the team physician for Ponderosa High School for 17 years.

Why am I running Castle Pines Family Care and Urgent Care? First of all, I love all aspects of family practice and urgent care. But in particular, I love the diversity that seeing all kinds of people and ages brings. Although I have been doing more acute care recently, my heart still rests in the long-term relationships that Family Practice offers.

What’s most important to me as a physician is to make sure I listen to people and hear their concerns and needs. I want my patients to feel comfortable sharing these things with me and with my staff. Once I’ve made sure I understand their concerns, I make every effort not to preach or lecture, but to offer my patients avenues of treatment—and to work with them to find the one that is best for them and makes sense medically.

I am married to a wonderful wife and we are raising two small, rapidly growing boys. I enjoy golf, exercise, reading, cruises, and travel. These days, however, most of our activity revolves around the family. Both my short term and long term goals are simply to be the best husband, father, and doctor I can.
